As a former student-athlete, you are considered a booster under NCAA rules. However, as a former student-athlete, NCAA rules permit you to have on-campus contact with prospective student-athletes (recruits) and his or her relatives, legal guardians or those individuals accompanying the prospective student-athlete on his or her unofficial or official visit which is prohibited by other boosters. Given your unique designation, we wanted to provide some education regarding how NCAA rules apply to you.

1. In general, you are not a permissible recruiter for the University (e.g. you may not participate in recruiting activities with recruits, their family/friends or their coaches.

2. You may have on-campus contact with recruits and their guests but you should not exchange contact information (phone number, EMail, social media information, etc.) with the recruits or their guests.

3. You may not have contact by phone, text message, direct message, social media, EMail, mail, etc. with recruits or their family/friends once they leave campus

4. You may not have in-person (face-to-face) contact with recruits or their family/friends off the campus of the University.

5. You may not arrange for or provide any benefits (e.g., cash, gear/equipment, tickets, etc.) to recruits or their family/friends.

6. You may not arrange for or provide meals or transportation to campus (for games, unofficial or official visits) to any recruit or their family/friends.

7. You may not arrange for or provide academic assistance for any recruits in an effort to meet initial academic eligibility requirements at the University.

8. As a booster and former student-athlete, the University is responsible for your actions so failure to adhere to these guidelines can result in penalties for the sport and/or University.

9. Failure to follow instructions provided by the University can result in disassociation including a prohibition on purchasing season tickets, receiving credentials to attend University sporting events and/or being permitted access to University athletics facilities.

My signature indicates I received rules education regarding the above mentioned NCAA rules and regulations. Further, I agree to abide by the parameters indicated and understand failure to do so may result in penalties for the University, a team and me personally.
