About Champions. Now.

The CHAMPIONS. NOW. capital campaign has been established to vastly improve the Ole Miss Athletics facilities and raise the standard for our level of competitiveness and success within the Southeastern Conference and nationally. When completed, CHAMPIONS. NOW. will be the difference maker that vaults Ole Miss to the top tier of athletics departments nationally, giving the Rebels the resources to win championships. The time is now to go from good to great and join the elite.

With the ever-changing environment and landscape of college athletics, it is more important than ever that we continue to build outstanding facilities to help attract and retain the best student-athletes and coaches. The SEC is growing, and our members are evolving and getting better. To keep pace with our conference peers and rise within the ranks, we must continually commit to building great facilities.

As we progress toward greatness together, the Ole Miss athletics programs are stronger than they’ve ever been. The 2020-21 academic year saw the Rebels finish 22nd in the Learfield/IMG College Directors’ Cup, the highest finish in program history, strengthened by the first outright NCAA team title in school history by the women’s golf team. The triumph of the women’s golf program came just over a year after the completion of the Tosh Family Short Course, which gave the program one of the premier practice resources in college golf.

During the 2021 calendar year, every Rebel athletic program earned a berth in postseason play, most recently a Sugar Bowl berth for the football program thanks to the first 10-win regular season in school history.

The postseason success was widespread for the Rebels, as a program-best third-place finish for the rifle team at the NCAA Championships. Both the men’s and women’s track programs were selected among the top 10 in the nation, with the men finishing third and the women seventh in the USTFCCCA Program of the Year rankings. Baseball continued its run of success with an Oxford Regional title and berth in the Super Regionals before sending off yet another crop of talented players to the big leagues, where Rebels have claimed 13 World Series titles. Soccer affirmed itself as one of the SEC’s top programs with consecutive NCAA berths, including a run to the Sweet 16 in 2020. Both the men’s and women’s tennis programs competed in the NCAA tournament, including a Sweet 16 berth for the men.

Facility advancements like those at the Tosh Family Short Course, the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center and the Gillom Athletics Performance center have set the stage for these triumphs and for championship moments for our programs. These moments already happen throughout the year, when our student-athletes walk across stage to receive their diplomas, when they are named All-Americans or the SEC’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year, when their name is called in the professional draft, or when they find placement in the workforce after graduation. All of these moments are made possible by individuals investing in the lives of our student-athletes.

  • “A championship team needs championship facilities, and this campaign is a huge step in advancing our program to the next level. I appreciate the commitment of our university leadership to provide the facility enhancements necessary to compete at a high level and attract the nation’s top recruits. I look forward to seeing Rebel Nation step up to the plate and help this team continue to reach new highs.”

  • "I am beyond excited about the facility upgrades that will be happening through the Champions Now Campaign. We have an outstanding facility but to continue to compete in the best baseball conference you must look to the future or you will be left behind. This upgrade will not only benefit our players, but our tremendous fan base."

    Baseball Head Coach

  • “With this state-of-the-art stadium, we will really enhance the ability to enjoy the game for Rebel Nation! From a recruiting standpoint this stadium coupled with the Gillom Center will move us to top of the SEC and one of the best in the nation. From a student-athlete and coaches standpoint this stadium, coupled with the support of Rebel Nation, will allow us to compete, train and develop at an absolute championship level.”

    Soccer Head Coach

  • "There are less than 5 teams in the nation that have won an NCAA individual and team national championship in golf and there is no doubt that we would be able to accomplish that without the generosity of our donors to this point. In any non revenue sport it is impossible to be among the elite programs without the support from our loyal donors. There is no doubt that we have a large wave of momentum but this is just the beginning in terms of facilities. If we want to continue this trajectory, then the time is now to lay the foundation for our success for the next 5 to 10 to 20 years."

    Chris Malloy

    Men's Golf Head Coach

  • "The CHAMPIONS. NOW. campaign symbolizes our commitment to excellence and our unwavering resolve to win championships at Ole Miss. This announcement is not only about facility enhancements but about investing in the future success of our programs. Rebel Nation is the most passionate fanbase in college sports, and we’re confident that this campaign will unite the Ole Miss family as we take our program to another level.”

    Director of Athletics
